Social Foundation of Human Rights (SFHR) is a Delhi-based non-governmental organization founded in 2000, dedicated to protecting human dignity, equality, and justice. We work actively through legal support, social advocacy, awareness campaigns, and community empowerment initiatives across India. Social Foundation of Human Rights (SFHR) is a dedicated organization working tirelessly for the protection, promotion, and advancement of Human Rights and Social Justice. The foundation is committed to uplifting the downtrodden, marginalized, and underprivileged sections of society who have been deprived of their fundamental rights for generations due to social, economic, and educational barriers. SFHR firmly believes that Human Rights are not privileges but basic entitlements of every individual. The organization focuses on creating awareness among people who lack knowledge of their constitutional and legal rights, ensuring that every individual can live with dignity, equality, and justice. Social Justice, as envisioned by SFHR, represents a society where fairness, equal opportunity, and respect for human dignity prevail in every sphere of life. SFHR is an independent, non-governmental, non-political, and not-for-profit Human Rights advocacy organization. It works with a mission to eliminate obstacles in democratic development and to ensure the meaningful enjoyment of fundamental freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution of India and internationally recognized Human Rights frameworks. The organization operates with transparency, accountability, and a deep sense of responsibility toward society. The foundation addresses a broad spectrum of Human Rights, including Civil, Political, Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights. These efforts are carried out through various initiatives such as: Public awareness and education campaigns Capacity-building and leadership development programs Grassroots engagement and community mobilization Strategic partnerships and collaborations Media outreach and advocacy campaigns Research, documentation, monitoring, and reporting Legal awareness and support for justice and reforms SFHR actively organizes Seminars, Conferences, and Awareness Programs on important social issues such as Human Rights, Women Empowerment, Environmental Protection, Health Awareness, and Education. The organization also conducts programs on occasions like International Women’s Day, Human Rights Day, Environment Day, Yoga Day, and Anti-Terrorism Awareness initiatives to engage communities and spread awareness. To reach the masses effectively, SFHR utilizes creative and impactful methods such as Nukkad Nataks (Street Plays), cultural events, and talent development programs, especially targeting underprivileged youth in both rural and urban areas. These initiatives help in educating people in an engaging and accessible manner. The organization also promotes youth development and sports activities, recognizing the importance of holistic growth. Additionally, SFHR has organized numerous blood donation camps and social service programs with the support of its dedicated network of volunteers and members, positively impacting thousands of lives across different regions. Inspired by the vision and principles of Mahatma Gandhi, SFHR continues to work toward building an inclusive and equitable society. The organization raises awareness about critical national challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, malnutrition, and lack of access to education—issues that still affect a large section of society today.
